Reconnect. Create. Wonder.

Join us for a magical 4-day nature immersion experience where children reconnect with the land, their creativity, and their inner calm — all through play, exploration, and rest.

Each day we’ll follow the rhythm of the earth and the joy of curiosity, offering space for children to:

  • Go on gentle nature walks and deepen their connection to the wild world

  • Create nature crafts and art to take home

  • Enjoy storytelling, seasonal celebration, and song

  • Observe wildlife and spark ecological curiosity

  • Experience mindfulness, gentle movement, and rest rituals

  • Play community games that build confidence and connection

It’s a wondrous thing how the wild calms a child.

Magical Earth Nature Camp includes:

  • Opening and closing circle time each day, filled with nature stories, songs, sharing, and a little magic

  • Exploration of the natural world, including:

    • Moss journeys

    • Nature scavenger hunts

    • Imaginative games and free play

  • Plastic-free nature-based arts & crafts, such as:

    • Dried flower wreaths

    • Dragonfly nature creations

    • Painted walking sticks & wands

    • Natural jewelry making

  • A gentle rest ritual that invites calm, imagination, and connection to the earth

    • Magic of the Celtic Tree Yoga Nidra in the hammocks

    • Listen to the magical sleep stories at home

  • Homemade pizza making and party on the final day of camp

Each child will receive a special calming bracelet at the beginning of camp—a little treasure to carry with them throughout the week.

Magical Earth Nature Camp is for children who…

  • are 5 to 9 years old.

  • love to play imaginatively.

  • love creating art & crafting.

  • appreciate being in nature to explore and wonder.

  • are able to regulate in a developmentally appropriate way.

Please note that this is not a sports camp or high-intensity activity camp.

It is important to me that Magical Earth Nature Camp is a satisfying and enriching experience for the children attending.

EARTH MAGIC MENTOR

Certified Daring to Rest Yoga Nidra Facilitator, Forest and Nature School Practitioner

Welcome, friends. Thank you for stopping by.

I come from a long line of earth lovers and storytellers. My Celtic ancestors walked closely with the land, and I’ve spent the last few years remembering how to do the same.

I grew up in the small village of St. Andrews, Antigonish County—a place where the woods whispered ancient songs, and the river’s edge became my sacred path. From a young age, I wandered those wild places alone, feeling deeply connected to the land, the trees, and a sacred rhythm echoing beneath every stone and stream. That sense of wonder has never left me.

Today, I’m a Rest Educator, Certified Daring to Rest Yoga Nidra Facilitator, and Forest School Practitioner. I’ve worked in the health and wellness field for many years as a Registered Massage Therapist. I own Siesta Massage & Wellness—a cozy clinic in Antigonish where rest is a sacred art. I also serve as a Director on the Antigonish Wellness Collective.

Before all of this, I worked in Adventure Tourism and Business Operations—a world that taught me the magic of movement, exploration, and gathering people around meaningful experiences. Those roots continue to shape the way I guide children today: through play, curiosity, and a deep trust in their innate wisdom.

Magical Earth Nature Camp is a tapestry woven from my lived experience.

It brings together land-based learning from the Child and Nature Alliance of Canada, Celtic wisdom, rest practices, and nature play—gently layered into programs that nurture the whole child.

I hope you’ll join me in saying YES to rest, wonder, and wild-hearted learning this summer!

Heather McNamara, M.Ed.

Artist | Educator | Nature-Inspired Creator

I’m delighted to welcome Heather McNamara to Magical Earth Nature Camp this season, where she’ll be sharing her creative spirit and nature-inspired artistry with the children.

After 12 years teaching French Immersion, Core French, Social Studies, Healthy Living Classes along Nova Scotia’s Eastern and Southern Shore, Heather McNamara followed the call of her creative spirit into full-time artistry. Now nestled by the ocean in Cape Breton, she crafts her work surrounded by the steady love of her husband Jody and their sweet pups.

Inspired by feathers—symbols of spirit, freedom, and natural beauty—Heather creates stunning designs that reflect nature’s wisdom. Driftwood and beach treasures fuel her imagination, and her sun-catchers scatter joy and flecks of light across any room. Recently, she’s added stained glass to her repertoire, building out a shop studio that glows with possibility.

Heather also designs custom gemstone jewelry, intuitively chosen based on astrological signs or heartfelt intentions. Whether it's a healing bracelet or a radiant window piece, every creation is infused with meaning.

Her business, Blending Beauty, Making Waves, celebrates the art of weaving nature’s gifts into everyday joy—and gently reminds us to seek fulfillment, share light, and keep making waves.
