YOGA NIDRA guide | REST rockstar | Storyteller
I empower creative folks to reconnect to their creativity by embracing deep rest, connecting with nature, honoring the land, and exploring their ancestral roots.
3 WAYS TO DEEPEN YOUR CONNECTION WITH A TREE
My Rest journey started in the woods.
I am a nature-based meditator passionate about honoring the land, our ancestors, and my Celtic roots. I find magic in walking trails, sitting by rivers, and witnessing sunrises. I offer deep respect to the Mi’kmaq, the first caretakers of this land, honoring their wisdom and connection to the earth. My work blends storytelling, Celtic wisdom, and a reverence for nature, inviting you to rest, recharge, and reconnect with the land and your roots.
Yoga Nidra came into my life during a time of burnout and illness. In 2022, recovering from COVID and pneumonia, I discovered its transformative power through the Daring to Rest Yoga Nidra Teacher training. This practice became a daily ritual, helping me heal and unlocking a creative portal—reigniting my love for writing and deepening my path to creativity and healing.
It began with an embodiment exercise called: Connecting with my ancestors.
Through this practice, I realized that when we rest, we also rest our family lines. My Yoga Nidra journeys revealed deep connections to the lands of my Celtic ancestors, with visions of ocean waves and trees calling to me. A soul whisper told me, "The ocean floor is like the forest floor."
This led me to the Celtic Tree Calendar and mentorship under Sharlyn Hidalgo and Jen Murphy, immersing me in the wisdom of mystical ancestors and the ancient trees - Earth's Ancient Ancestors.
To me this is all synchronicity: the journey from my Ancestors to Earth’s Mystical Ancestors. We are meant to rest, to connect, and to unlock the creativity rising within.

I am grateful to have been raised in Nalikitquniejk, meaning 'the place where the branches are torn off,' on the unceded and ancestral territory of Mi’kma’ki. The traditional land of the Mi’kmaq people.
These sacred lands also known as Nova Scotia, Alba Nudah, and Nouvelle-Écosse hold the stories of the First Peoples as well as the roots of my own ancestors who made their home here.
My ancestors are:
